Supply & Market

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) - including the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia and neighbouring markets - represents an important regional opportunity for iron-chelation therapy. Beta-thalassemia is prevalent in parts of the southern CIS region, and transfusion-dependent anemia populations are actively served through public-sector channels. Taj Pharma supplies DEFRATAJ into CIS markets via local distributors and consolidated Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) dossier pathways where applicable.

Supply to the CIS region is coordinated through sea freight to Black Sea ports (Novorossiysk, Odessa where operational) or via overland / airfreight routing depending on destination country. Transit times typically 25-45 days by sea; 4-7 days by air. Russian-language leaflets and Cyrillic-script carton printing are fully supported. Payment terms in USD and EUR; local-currency invoicing for selected strategic partners.

CIS regulatory pathways include EAEU harmonised procedure where the manufacturer supports registration in one lead country with extension to other EAEU member states, plus individual country submissions in non-EAEU CIS markets. GMP inspection is a usual step in the Russian Federation registration pathway - our Sarigam facility has been prepared for international inspection readiness. Dossier format follows a CTD-aligned structure with Russian-language Module 1 localisation through our RA team's network. Typical timeline 12-24 months including GMP inspection where applicable.
